Explore 2019: Protecting Quality Time

In my last post I talked about my emotional/communicative travel baggage. This spring I'm going to be on the road a lot for work. But the big difference from how I used to do things (summary = put my head down and power through all the travel and hope my family survives) is that now I know it is crucial for me to be super intentional about the counterpoint to getting my itineraries all buttoned up. As I look forward on the calendar, I am working on booking (and fiercely protecting!) quality time with Laurel and Violet.

Laurel is a freshman in high school and Violet is turning 8 next week. It all just feels like it is going so fast.
