Explore 2019: Speaking + Interview Ideas

I'm so grateful to Barbara Jones for capturing these pictures! I will admit...I love and feel super comfortable being in front of a crowd. Even back when I played solo violin recitals in college, my friends could not believe that I never got stage fright. I have just always felt really happy and energized through performance!

At Alt Summit it was so joyful to emcee the Buy the Change event. I mean, doing anything with Handmade Charlotte + Jane Mosbacher Morris is fun + I loved interviewing Jane about her new book. And not surprisingly it got my brain turning on ideas, both for speaking circuit material and also for my Edit Your Life Show podcast. I love how conferences jump start creativity!

Also, looping back to performance. It was so major to see Courtney Reed sing (hello, unexpected surprise!). She's in the red dress in the second picture. Not only is Courtney gorgeous and ridiculously talented, but we totally Asian fist bumped and it was fascinating to talk to her about Asian representation in the arts. Back when I was in high school I loved theater (I told Courtney she is living my dream of being a Broadway star!) but back then roles never when to non-white people (even Asian roles....wut?). Anyway, I am just such a fan of Courtney's now! Keep on representing, girl!
