Embrace 2020 102/365: plant love

One silver lining of quarantine has been putting attention on some long neglected things at home. Months ago my husband built some lovely shelves in our bedroom and invited me to style them since he knows I care about that kind of thing. And, well, they have sat completely empty for months. This week I decided I wanted to fill these shelves with as many (easy care!) plants as possible, rooted from plants we already have. This was not a trivial decision, because while I love plants, plant maintenance quickly falls off my list of things to do when life is crazy (note: my office is entirely filled with fake plants for this very reason).

Well, today the project has officially started! The spider plant babies I put in water last weekend grew roots and I planted them and added the first plant to the shelves alongside these treasures I brought home from Ethiopia. Thanks for waiting for me to come around, shelves.
