Embrace 2020 133/365: trophies

Winning Podcast of the Year for Edit Your Life with Asha 3 years ago today was a big deal for a number of reasons (not the least of which being that I never won a trophy as a kid #issues). And right now, the grandness of that moment -- in this pic taken by my friend Casey I am laughing wearing a column gown, tossing a joke about Andrew Shue to the actual human being Andrew Shue, who was in the wings -- is almost comical in contrast to the very real trophies I feel like we're all earning every day. Trophies for making it through another day of distance learning, trophies for have a shitty day and picking ourselves back up, trophies for finding the tiny moments of joy, trophies for doing so many levels of hard things, trophies for finding meaning in the hard shit, trophies for staying isolated when we desperately want and need a hug.
