Explore 2019: Small moments of joy amidst stress

This week has been emotionally and physically exhausting for a variety of reasons, so this morning -- inspired by a friend's kind offer to take Vi for a picnic dinner later -- I sank with Vi into the small joy of baking. This really is one of our happy places! Violet perused a cookbook (index reading FTW!), chose triple chocolate chip, and she is so boss with the mixer and now our house smells amazing and Vi is already excited to bring cookies for the picnic.
