Embrace 2020 41/365: closet decluttering breaks

REAL LIFE CLOSET MOMENT. Gimme a fist bump if your closet is the opposite of Pinterest perfect! And let's talk closet decluttering to reduce eye strain!

Last month I shared about doing the 20-20-20 eye strain reduction thing: Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. It seriously works. Days when I do it, I feel so much better at the end of the day. Days when I don't, I feel like a zombie at the end of the day.

But listen, sometimes it's hard for me to feel meditative looking out the window for 20 seconds...I just have too much "to-do energy." So today I decided to focus my 20-20-20 on my closet...so I guess technically I'm not looking 20 feet away but at least I'm getting my eyes off the screen for 20 seconds every 20 minutes! On each of my breaks today, I made a lightning fast decision to get rid of 1-2 items in my closet...stuff that I have picked up and passed on repeatedly, stuff that doesn't fit anymore... seriously, the decisions I could make in seconds. I've got good donation + consignment piles in motion and I finally put away that step stool with clothes piled on it! I'm thinking that if I continue this for the next week or two my closet is going to be in seriously amazing shape! I'll try to remember to post an after shot!
