Embrace 2020 101/365: making bagels

h Have you tried baking something new during quarantine? This morning Violet asked if we could get bagels at the store; she likes the ones in the bins at Whole Foods and I was like SORRY KID, NOT HAPPENING. Upshot of quarantine = this request inspired me to try making bagels for the first time and according to my crew, they are delicious! YAY!

Also big ups to my sister Jenn. Last weekend I asked on Facebook whether anyone had found yeast in stores; I hadn't seen it for weeks. Within an hour, a generous bag of yeast landed on my doorstep; my sister Jenn generously parted with part of her stash. This is how my sister Jenn is; ever generous!
