Embrace 2020 99/365: Easter cake

What are your pandemic Easter plans? #ad Obviously, Easter will be very different this year as we social distance and there will be (super valid) disappointments. BUT YOU GUYS, IT CAN STILL BE FESTIVE AND FUN! And quite frankly we *need* moments of joy and light to get through this. We’re pretty mellow about Easter and don’t do gift baskets but my kids LOVE doing an egg hunt (we reuse our plastic eggs every year!), which we do in our backyard or indoors if the weather is bad. And also via CAKE!

Our plastic eggs will include Reeses and Cadbury goodies and how cute is this cake? I don’t know if you guys remember the ombre Easter cake I made last year that was loaded with Cadbury mini eggs in the center as a surprise and also on top. This year I decided to nest the eggs amidst the piping on the top + around the bottom edge. I love this look!
