October 2020 Reads

Definitely read a lot less this month, but it was in service of democracy. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ I spent most of my free time working on GOTV efforts, but here's what I did manage to read!

I thought "The Lies That Bind" by Emily Giffin would blow me away given the hype, but I found that I wasn't really drawn in until about halfway through and then I was disappointed in the ending. Did you read this book and have similar feelings or did you love it?

I had a little trouble getting going with "Cleo McDougal Regrets Nothing" by Allison Winn Scotch but then it picked up and I was all in. I for sure identified with the young adult hardness-based-on-hardship nature of Cleo, and also the power of coming to terms with choices.
