Happy Things

I seriously can't believe it's September 1st. This has sort of felt like the summer that never was. However, we have taken a few days of vacation in the last couple of weeks and though they weren't the most relaxing (I had a bunch of work things hanging over me, our dear hostess in Maine became very ill, and Violet's travel sleeping was all over the place, to name a few variables) I still was reminded repeatedly of happy things for which I am enormously grateful. I decided to capture some of them in photos:
