Embrace 2020 31/365: embracing the process

How do you handle rejection? I told you at the beginning of this month that part of why EMBRACE is my word of the year is because I want to embrace fully the whole process of things and share the good, bad, and ugly of everyday life.

This moment, literally right this second, is significant because you guys, I JUST SUBMITTED A BOOK PROPOSAL. And while yes, writing a book proposal is an effort in itself, mostly, this is notable because pre-2020 Christine Koh would have been super nervous about sharing anything that wasn't already locked in and official (in this example, an actually book deal). Also, I want to share that last year I pitched two other book proposals and while I thought (and still think) they are great, the agent said, MEH.

Point is, this journey is humbling and it's never easy and unidirectional and you just need to keep trying to move forward things you believe in. I mean, don't get me wrong, I really want this book to get picked up, but I am also embracing the process.
