Embrace 2020 9/365: "quiet food" plate

Before Jon and I got married, my Mom issued him one warning: "WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT LET HER GET HUNGRY!" It's true. I epitomized hangry before hangry even existed.

So it's no surprise that last night I was already thinking about what I would eat for lunch today because today was one of those days where I had 4 hours worth of video conference calls, one of them a long strategy meeting that ran over the lunch hour. And while it seems logical that the other people in the meeting would need to eat, I have learned to never assume other people will be as concerned about food as I am! BE PREPARED, y'all.

So, today I embraced this "quiet food" plate (adorable dish + tiny gold spoon from my BFF Paige). As I was rooting around my fridge I was like, OK what food can I assemble that is nourishing, relatively easy to eat, and won't result in loud crunching sounds? I landed on hard boiled egg, cheese, guacamole, hummus, and these homemade energy bars Laurel made me. Eating while working isn't my favorite but I'm grateful to work on meaningful projects!
