Embrace 2020 52/365: coaching

I spend pretty much all of my time holding and developing and managing and directing all the things for other people both professionally and personally. Most of the time I sail along and am like I GOT THIS but right this moment, after being irritated for most of the day (and I dunno, on and off for freakin' WEEKS), I am seriously embracing investing in myself by investing in a coach.

You may recall a few weeks ago I submitted a book proposal and I want you to know (because hello, embracing all the ups and downs) that the agent I sent it to said "No, thanks." I was super bummed but really believe in this project and decided to make a leap and for the first time ever, I invested in a coach -- Jennie Nash Book Coach -- to help me.

It's important to point out that when I approached Jennie, she was so generous and looked over my material and gave me feedback and was like, "You can move this forward on your own!" but I was admittedly swirling in a crisis of confidence and quite frankly -- given said holding and developing and managing and directing all the things for other people -- I was like, "Goddammit, I just want someone to boss me around and help me figure out what to do!"

I just had my first meeting with Jennie and this, my friends, is the face of calm and clarity. I have work to do, yes, but I know what I need to do and man, does it feel good to have someone in my corner bossing me around with my best interests in mind.
