Embrace 2020 114/365: gratitude for Jon

When was the last time you got dressed for real? I went back to my calendar to verify that I wasn't exaggerating my perception that the last time I got dressed for real was marked by this photo, February 29, 2020 when Jon and I spoke at Dad 2.0. The following week I worked exclusively out of home in my jammies, traveled to Bromley Mountain for what ended up being my last ski reporting visit of the season, and then the world blew up and school (and all our social outings) shut down on March 13, 2020.

During this period of extraordinary duress and distress I have reminded myself frequently that I couldn't ask for a better partner in Jon. I know there are ways I serve as Jon's counterbalance, and he counterbalances me so well...he is the steady to my crazy, the light to my heavy, the diplomatic to my petty, the proactive (see earlier post about my new monitor) in the rare moments when I am paralyzed to act.

Today we released an Edit Your Life episode that Jon and I recorded in the short window between our return from Dad 2.0 and when COVID-19 turned our world upside down. I hope you give it a listen. Jon is a baller in the human being department.
