Boston Globe Magazine: Career Jumping

It meant a lot to me to write this essay (A former career isn’t a waste of time and money. It’s learning) for Boston Globe Magazine. I was so deeply determined to become an academic—my lofty dream was to be able to return to Wheaton College and teach alongside my mentors. But several things led me to jump and while the stress (and intense dysfunction) of that time is not something I would wish on anyone, I am grateful for how it all played out.
