Embrace 2020 110/365: mask making

On weekends I now make masks. Have you tried making one? This is slow going because of the ties (elastic shortage + Thrifty Christine is like "I have the fabric, when else am I gonna use it?" + Designer Christine is like "It looks really cute with coordinating ties!"). I have merged things from different tutorials (pleats fit best around here + a pocket for filter) and finally have a system, though and OMG changing the worn down needle also helped. One of my great joys this weekend was making some for neighborhood friends, one of whom is giving birth this week and her toddler didn't have a mask. It takes a village. We can do this. Please keep going.
