How To Support Kids Through (And Beyond) Latest Anti-Asian American Violence

When CNN reached out yesterday to ask if I would be willing to write a rapid response piece on the Atlanta shootings, even though I was in the middle of 17 other things (including another story deadline), I said yes, because one thing I have learned about myself is that when the news is shitty (and in this case personally triggering), the best way to prevent myself from rage stroking is to write and try to be useful by providing actionable ways to make the world less shitty. I truly hope you will take an action item forward from this piece.

Also, I'm incredibly grateful to Casey Brown, Jill Krause and Asha Dornfest, who reviewed and provided feedback on this draft yesterday because I was literally like, "OMG I am writing this so quickly while having a shitload of feelings and do these words and concepts even make sense?" I am grateful to know that so many people have my back.
