Explore 2019: New Rainbow Cake Design

Well, how happy is this cake I made for my niece's 5th birthday? ! I mentioned last week that I wanted to explore (my 2019 word!) a fresh new rainbow cake design...something I didn't already see on Pinterest! Admittedly the piped rainbow dots aren't particularly new (it was a last minute design edit because I wanted to make a cream cheese vanilla buttercream but MAN, using cream cheese means you get these little chunks that make really perfect flat icing challenging). BUT, big ups to Laurel, who had the idea for making meringue pops and I figured, hey, let's try making them rainbow swirl! With the leftover batter I piped a bunch of meringue kisses and added them as border.
