Embrace 2020 5/365: the wonder of food gifts

I love cooking and I also love and deeply appreciate when someone prepares food for me. I didn't really want for anything this Christmas, but when pressed, I asked for 3 things and 2 were food gifts; one of which was a taco dinner made by my kids.

I cashed in the taco dinner coupon yesterday and whoo boy did I embrace the wonder of food gifts! I got to putter and work on a few things while they were busy in the kitchen, then sat down to blackened, spicy salmon tacos with roasted corn, avocado, cotija lime crema (OMG WHAT?!) + chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. Seriously people, get your kids in the kitchen! It will be messy and imperfect for a while but then magical things happen!
