Christine's Reads: May 2020

I learn hard into books when I'm stressed out so THANK YOU, AUTHORS. Here's what I read in May; I'd love to hear your favorite book picks too. Also, will you please support independent bookstores? Buy from a local store near you or you can shop my Bookshop page (an online bookstore that supports indie)

1️⃣ Love Her or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey involves work with a therapist so OF COURSE I LOVED IT. Ha. This romance title is "hot" (on my spice scale of mild, medium, and hot). . 2️⃣ I didn't tear through The Huntress the way I did with Quinn's The Alice Network but it was still very good! . 3️⃣ I tore through Evie Drake Starts Over (which was, notably, my first e-book read since I have depleted my pandemic library haul). Given my personal experience, I appreciated the lens it took on the impact of emotionally abusive relationships, and reading a book set in Maine (with one adventure to Somerville, MA) was really fun. . 4️⃣ Sometimes I'm the prickly person yet I don't always want to be the prickly person so I appreciated Susan's evolution in The Cactus.
